:
Arrival Cairo, meet and assistance then transfer
to the hotel .

2nd day :
You will visit one of
the wonders of the world : The Pyramids of Giza
.
Standing on the limestone plateau which here rises about 50 m above
the flood plain. These pyramids were constructed between c2589 and
530BC by there of the rulers of the 4 Dyn. Kufu (Cheops),
Khafre
(Chephren) and Menkaure (Mykerinus), of whom very little is known,
though their monuments have survived virtually intact. A panoramic
view of the Pyramids of Giza,escort you to the Sphinx, being made of
soft stone, has suffered considerably from erosion. Beyond the paws
is the
Temple of the Sphinx, a solid structure of limestone faced
with granite
.

3rd day :
Visit of the
Egyptian Museum, which the garden
contains several
statues and at the end is the Tomb of Auguste Mariette,a sarcophagus
surmounted by a statue with the inscription"L'Egypte Reconnaissante".
Many pieces filtered through to European collections during 18C .
A lot of objects you will find inside the Museum , which is the famous
treasure of Tut Ank Amoun , also you may have the time to visit the
mummies chamber . Lunch during the Tour .
Visit of the Citadel of Saladin with the great Mohamed Ali Mosque .
Visit of the Mosque of Ibn Toulon .

4th day :
Early flight to Luxor and visit the west bank of Luxor .The Valley of
the Kings , the valley is deep , much-raven cleft in the limestone
hills
with sheer walls and with many side valleys, dominated by the Gabal
al-Qurn(Hill of the Horn). It contains 62 tombs, not all royal, certain
high officials were also buried here. Some of the tombs are
uninscribed, others were never completed . Continue to the Mortuary
Temple of Queen Hatchepsut ,
this area is known Deir El Bahari,
and
this temple is one of the most remarkable structures in Egypt.
Visit the
Valley of the Queens,
Gates
to the ladies or Gates to the
Queens). Towards the middle of the 18th Dyn. this valley was used for
the burial of several high officials .

5th day :
Sailing to
Esna, one of the smaller cities of Upper
Egypt and chief
town of the district in the province of Quena .There is a barrage built in
1906 of sandstone from Silsilah quarries . Within recent times it was
extremely important as the Nile terminal for the Sudan caravan routes
passing Derr and Kurkur Oasis, but this trade has declined since
1890s. Now it is mainly a town of merchants and a centre of the
weaving trade. Crossing the lock of Esna and continue sailing to Edfu.

6th day :
Early morning, departure to visit the
Temple of Edfu . Edfu is a fairly
large town built over the mound of an ancient city. It is the chief town
of the district in the Province of Aswan .The temple of Edfu is the most
complete of all Egyptians temples and is the final Ptolemaic rebuilding
in sandstone of a religious foundation which stretches back to early
dynastic times . Back to the Nile Cruiser and sailing to Kom Ombo,
the Mound of Umbu , an important centre of the sugar trade . It
stands beside the river and has a mainline station and coach station .
The Temple of Kom Ombo was one of the temples to which pilgrims
came to be healed. They fasted , spent the night in the temple
precinct
and were treated by the priests of Horus"the good doctor".
Visit this temple , back to the cruise and sailing to Aswan .

7th day :
Visit
the temple of
Philae , one of the rescued Nubian temples by the
Unesco. Located on Agilika Island , will feel the famous story of Isis
and Osiris. Philae lay next to Bigah, the island of Osiris, was
dedicated to Isis, and the largest and most important among the
complex of temples and chapels is the Temple of Isis which occupies
about one quarter of the Island . In the afternoon , departure for a
Felucca ride , visit the
Kitchener Island and Elephantine Island .

8th day :
Optional Tour to Abu Simbel :
Departure by air-conditioned bus with private English speaking guide ,
visit the temple of Abu Simbel. The area is very desolate and seems
to have been so since the earliest times. When the rising of waters of
Lake Nasser threatened this temple, it was decided to move it to a
new location. In 1964 a team of West German, Italian, French and
Swedish engineers under the auspices of Unesco began the work.
Visit the Temple of Ramses II. It was built by the king before his
34th
regnal year on the site of a shrine to a local form of Horus. The
location in the Hill of Libations was chosen with great precision so
that twice a year (22 February and 22 October) the first rays of the
rising sun illuminated the innermost wall of the sanctuary and the
seated statues of the four gods there.
Visit the Temple of Queen Nefertari, also dedicated to Hathor of
Abshek. It is also mainly rock-cut and, although much smaller, it is
nonetheless imposing .Back to the Cruise for Lunch .

Sailing to Kom Ombo. Time at Leisure, then sailing to Edfu .
Continue sailing to Esna and crossing the lock to reach Luxor .

day :
The East Bank of Luxor is full of monuments, departure to the visit of
the Temple of Luxor, temple of the Southern Apt or Opet. Here
Amun-Min, the fertility aspect of Amun, was worshipped with Mut and
Khonsu, who formed the Triad of Thebes. Continue north east on the
river bank past the Mosque of Yusuf Abu Al Haggag, leads to the
extensive site of Al Karnak .Visit the
Temple of Karnak, the religious
centre of Al Karnak is an extremely
complex series of structures
divided between three areas dedicated principally to the Theban Triad .Amun-Re, Mut and Khonsu, but there are also other temples within the
precincts . Overnight Luxor .
